DONE! What a relief. Yesterday was such a roller coaster ride.
The slide show test was at 10 and we were in lockdown until 1230...and because I'm in the bastard half of the alphabet, my prac start time was at 250. We were the last group to go.
There were 8 stations total.
1+2. Small animal p/e - we were asked to run through a CV exam on a dog. Gotta love it when you think you've said everything possible and the examiner looks at you and says "And....". Haha, sigh. 6 minutes of awkward silences and nervous ramblings. Joy.3+4. Uteri on a tray - this station sucked. I was supposed to examine two cow repro tracts and record my findings...got totally thrown off when I couldn't find the bloody ovaries!! Just panicked. Ah well. Turns out that one was actually missing.
5. Cow p/e - This station sucked too. We were supposed to do a full p/e in 6 mins. Impossible. I wasn't sure if we were being observed or if we were just supposed to write crap down. Lavin is an asshole.
6 + 7. Horse p/e - This was nice. A few very simple questions. And Harry the hottie horse guy was the instructor in charge. Yum!
8. Ram balls - 4 very sad rams up in a crush with only their bums sticking out. We had to palpate their balls and record findings. It was really weird feeling these guys up with a male instructor looking over your shoulder!! Not pleasant! Poor Bethany got shit on by one of the rams and when she went to do the dog p/e, the dog was out of control trying to lick the shit off her arm. Yikes.
All in all, I have no idea...some stations really sucked, some were alright. All I need is a 60% overall. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
After the test, we convened at Abby's and drank ourselves silly. Bethany and I ventured to Jimmy's for a while then staggered back here and passed out. I was completely wasted and woke up with a terrible hangover which reminded me why I don't drink much in the first place. The typical end to a very long year. I can't believe it, we're done! Yay!
Not much planned for the day. Clean and pack and recover.
